One abortion, two in vitro tests, legal in vitro fertilization in Kyrgyzstan

Whenever I go back to my hometown to visit my relatives, they always ask me when I want to have a child, especially when I am already 35 years old and still don't have a child, they always remind me that it will be too late if I don't have a child. These words upset me, my mother-in-law will also be mentioned from time to time, my husband had to say that in the future less to return to their hometown.

Due to ignorance at a young age, we once had an abortion which resulted in cervical adhesions and a clearing operation which also made the uterine lining very thin. After we got married in 2017, we have been trying hard to have a baby but always in vain. We then decided to try IVF, and it took three boosts to retrieve four AA embryos, but both transfers ended in failure, and both ended in fetal arrest. During these two years, we experienced countless disappointments and pain.

The doctor told me that the main problem was my uterus. I was filled with remorse, regretting that I didn't know any better, but what could I do, after all, there is no medicine for regret in the world.

Once in 2022, I saw someone in a patient group mentioning legal in vitro fertilization abroad, which instantly made my heart sing. I immediately contacted that person and, after a couple of attempts, found a company in Kazakhstan. After careful counseling and much deliberation, we decided to give it a try.

In fact, at the beginning, there was a great deal of trepidation as to whether it would work this time, but we had no choice but to try.

Before I left, I had a comprehensive body checkup, 13 tubes of blood were drawn and the AMH value turned out to be 4.57ng/ml, which made me very happy. Next, I needed to regulate my menstrual cycle and synchronize it with my surrogate mother. Originally, I bought Yosmin, but my doctor suggested that Momoflurane was more effective, so I took Momoflurane for more than 20 days in a row.

I arrived in Kyrgyzstan on the 19th and got my period in the evening. Because of several previous IVF experiences, I knew that I was going to start ovulation the next day. At the ultrasound check, the basal follicles were 3 on the left and 4 on the right, and the doctor planned to retrieve 8-12 eggs, which is what I was hoping for.

Ovulation was started on 21st with Aspirin, Gonaphene 300IU and Menopur 75IU. ganirelix was started on day 7 to control ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. E2 blood values were checked on days 1 and 6 to monitor the ovulation. After 12 days of ovulation induction, a decision was made on the need for night injections.

On May 3, I had my eggs retrieved under anesthesia and ended up with 7 eggs, which wasn't what I expected, but it was ok. My husband also retrieved sperm and we returned home two days later. After that, three blastocysts were cultured. 5 days later, the PGS result showed that only one blastocyst was healthy, with complete and aligned chromosomes. For the other two, one was missing the 27th chromosome and the other had multiple deletions.

To our delight, the healthy blastocyst was a boy, and even though I would have preferred a girl, I still feel incredibly lucky.

On May 25th, the good news came from the hospital that the transplant was successful, the whole family was very happy, but my heart was still hanging in the air. It was only when the monthly pregnancy test reports came in that I gradually let go of my heart.

On March 10th, 2024, our family went to Kyrgyzstan in anticipation of our baby's birth. on the evening of the 19th, the baby was finally born and I couldn't hold back the tears, I was just so happy. All the hard work and ups and downs didn't matter at the moment of seeing the baby, it was all worth it.
